Facelift
With advancing age, sagging around the eyes and neck areas of a person, sagging down along with a decrease in cheek volume, wrinkles occur accordingly. We can create a more lively and wrinkle-free face with planned operations suitable for the person.
Operation technique
An incision is usually made just behind the ear. A layer called SMAS is also sewn to the points where stretching will be performed with surgical ropes that do not melt. It is this procedure that provides the main stretching on the face. These points are the top of the cheekbone, in front of the ear, behind the ear. After this procedure, the excess skin structure that has loosened is removed and the incision line is stitched.
Mini Facelift
If the sagging tissue on the face is not advanced, it is done with a smaller incision made just in front of the ear. It is not a very preferred technique. It is recommended that patients wait a little longer and have a normal face lift.
Who can have a face lift surgery?
In general, men and women over the age of 50 can have this surgery, but if the amount of sagging tissue is too much after a clinical examination, they may also prefer it at a younger age.
Preoperative evaluation
In general, sagging on the face, wrinkles, loss of volume and the amount of sagging on the neck are evaluated. If there is a serious loss of volume in the cheeks, fat filling can be performed in these areas. The patient is informed about the operation process and its aftermath.
You should definitely inform about your previous surgeries, chronic diseases, medications that you have to use, if you are allergic to any medication or food before. If you smoke, you should leave it until the healing time of the stitches before and after surgery.
